A business startup obstacle you may not expect

Boy oh Boy, The Obstructions and Obstacles

The bad things starts with the letter 'O'?.like Obstacles, Obstruction, Obscene? Overly-poor? There's bound to be obstructions and obstacles in everything that we do in life. Like riding a bicycle. We get a few scrapes and bruises and think that we're never going to ride a bike ever again. We try to blow bubblegum and we blow it up in our own face and have our laughing friends jeering at us. We try to dress up only to find out that we look dowdy. Everything in life, there's an obstacle.

And why should having a home based business be any different?

One of the biggest obstacles in a home based business? at least in starting it? are family members.

I mean, who would've thought, right? Being on your own is all about being free, being independent and reliant on noone but yourself. And yet, your family members are the first ones to stand up, with hands raised in the hair, to say 'OBJECTION'!

Well, too bad. Objection denied.

Family members want the best for you. they want to see you succeed and maybe they think that taking this path is not the right thing to do but it's entirely up to you to prove to them that this is the RIGHT way. Starting your own home business and making enough money to pay the bill?.HECK, making enough money to send everyone for a holiday, that is.

I am not even talking about network marketing or direct selling here, don't get me wrong. If you're involved in one, good for you and I hope you have the patience and perseverance (and a supportive upline) for it. But I am talking about any other types of home business as well.

Liberating the soul and freeing the mind In the working world, there are just too many obstacles and obstructions to the way things work. Just to get a document approved, at least 5 people have to look through it and sign it. By the time the memo or recommendation is approved, wouldn't be a mite too late? But hey, who cares? It's the working world and this is the way things work in the working word, isn't it?

Working from home or running and home based business is all about liberating the soul and freeing the mind from the constraints of the working world. Things get done faster and you work more efficiently. Take advantage of that.

Your kids You're doing it for the kids, did you say? And did I just hear your kids whining in the background and you hollering to them to 'shut up'? or was it my kids?

When kids grow, they start to compare their family structure to others. And when they see you working day in and day out on your computer or crocheting endlessly in your working chair, they think you're having fun. You're home and home is where fun is. Work is outside the house, because that's what their friends' parents do. They work outside.

And when they start wondering about these sort of things, it's time to educate them about your work structure and about how you make your money.

Your parents - the ultimate obstruction They love you to bits, no doubt about that. No matter what a hard time you have given them as kids and the kind of hell you raised when you were younger, they love you. And they will worry about you until the day they die. This is a fact.

And it's no wonder that they are the biggest obstacle and obstruction if you're trying to make the switch from working rat to homebusiness cat.

Understand them and be patient with them. They really DO love you and they paid a lot of money to get you through law school (Mine did) and they don't want to see you waste it on crocheting products for demanding clients. They want to see you as a professional who's making full use of your education, your degree.

The only way to remove this obstacle is to prove yourself.
